Josh Tanasiychuk started in the concrete industry when the opportunity to work with his dad became a reality upon the purchase of Reimer Concrete in 1996.

Reimer Concrete had five locations and was primarily a Mobile Mixer ready-mix producer, so Josh learned everything from mix designs, batching, delivery, pouring, and finishing of concrete. Reimer Concrete Industries Ltd became TANAS Concrete Industries Ltd. in 2000, and Josh purchased the remainder of the business from his dad in 2007. As President and owner of TANAS, Josh oversaw strong growth and numerous acquisitions ultimately selling the business to Lafarge in 2020.

In 2018 he bought the assets of a commercial concrete finishing company, which started the journey of Ultimate Edge Concrete (2018) Ltd (UEC). Since that time UEC has poured millions of square feet of commercial high rises and parkades, as well as countless residential floors, garages, driveways, and patios. Josh has served on various industry boards, including President of the Alberta Ready-Mixed Concrete Association, now Concrete Alberta, during which he served as the Alberta representative to the Canadian Ready-Mixed Concrete Association, now Concrete Canada. Josh is currently a member of the President’s Advisory Committee for Concrete Alberta.

UEC is family owned and operated with Josh and his sons all working together in the business.
